Kenneth J. Waul, 71, formerly of Dubuque, IA, and Moline, IL, died Monday, January 14, 2013, in Vero Beach, FL.
A celebration of Life will be held at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, with a light lunch to follow at Christ the King Parish hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rose House, 7301 34th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265.
Ken was born in Cuba City, WI, grew up in Dubuque and worked in Moline for Deere and Co. for over 20 years before retiring to Vero Beach in 1998.
He was an avid golfer and duplicate bridge player having attained the rank of NABC Master.
Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Jr. of Moline and Kevin (Rachel) Waul of N. Liberty, IA and daughter, Kerri Schmitt of Dubuque, brother, James Waul of Dubuque, and sisters, Carol Pfeiler of Dubuque and Lauri Giesen of Libertyville, IL, seven grandchildren, and companion Janet Van Doren of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his companion Phyllis Duggleby.
