Kenneth W. Witte, 81, of Moline passed away on March 31, 2017 at his home.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery; military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post #246.  Memorials may be made to Blackhawk Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois.

Kenny was born on October 29, 1935 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Kenneth Edward and Alberta “Red” Rock Witte.  He married Sydney Nitzel in January of 1962 in Moline.

Kenny was employed as a tool and die maker with Sears Manufacturing in Davenport for 24 years retiring in 2010.  Kenny was an avid Harley rider and was involved with many motorcycle organizations including; Freedom Riders, American Motorcycle Association and was currently the Sgt. Of Arms with the Blackhawk Chapter of A.B.A.T.E.  Ken was also very involved with Toys For Tots.  Above all was his love for his family and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard and grandsons, Brandon and Jeffery Witte.
