Kim Hoa Vermeire Lang, 33 of Bartlett, IL went home to be with Jesus on
March 28th, 2008 surrounded by her loving family at her parents' home in Moline. She had fought her battle with melanoma since 1993.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 1st at First Lutheran Church in Moline. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31st at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Kim was born on September 27th, 1974 in GoVap, Gia Dinh South Vietnam and arrived at her forever family Joseph and Ann (Braaten) Vermeire on March 2, 1975. She married Joshua Lang on December 16, 2000 at the Ascension Chapel, Augustana College. Kim had an Associate's Degree from Blackhawk College.
Kim was involved in numerous activities including FCVN (Friends of Children from Vietnam), the Democratic Party and the Bell Choir at the Living Lord Lutheran Church in Bartlett, IL. She had volunteered at Prairieview Elementary and the Vietnamese Culture Camp. She was active in the Melanoma Walk Fundraiser. She enjoyed camping, traveling and planning gaming night.
Kim had several hobbies including crafts, scrapbooking, baking and cake decorating. Above all she most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
