Krista S. Kruse, age 59, of Moline, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330-13th Street, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Free Clinic in Moline or Moline Public Library.
Krista was born June 9, 1951 in Davenport, the daughter of Jack Sundine and Pat Sundine Edwards. She married Stephen Kruse on June 17, 1972 in Moline.
Krista retired as the Regional Director of the International Adoption for Lifelink of Chicago. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline. Krista received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and her M.S.W. from Western Illinois University. She was very active during the construction of the new Moline Public Library, and was on the Board. Later she served as Chairman of the Board of the Library. She helped to establish the Good Samaritan Free Clinic and served as the Director of Social Services. Krista's passions were family, friends, traveling, music and volunteerism.
