Kris was born on August 27, 1955, in Moline, the daughter of Earl C. and Beryl Satern Edwards. She married Richard Westmoreland on April 27, 1974, in Moline.
Kris worked at Goodwill for many years. Her favorite role was being a job coach, which helped individuals develop job and soft skills to be successful in the workplace. She was also a founding partner in “Rescued”, which is a non-for-profit organization that supports pets in need. Over the years, she enjoyed painting ceramics with friends and playing volleyball. But most of all, Kris loved giving. Her kindness was unmatched as she gave in so many ways. Whether it was large gestures like making Thanksgiving meals for veterans, or small gestures of making THE best popcorn for movie nights, Kris went above and beyond to bring joy to everyone around her. She especially loved spoiling and making memories with her two grandsons.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rich; her daughter: Sarah (Aaron) Greenwood of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Blake & Owen Greenwood; sisters: Kathy Whiting, Susan (Don) Rimkus; mother: Beryl; nieces and nephews: Stephane (Kurt) Vordermeier, Megan (Bill) Fiduccia, Josh (Annaka) Whiting, James (Jessica) Whiting, Emily Rimkus, and Nathan (Cheyenne) Rimkus; and her special dog, Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl, and siblings: Linda Puck, and Ken Edwards.
