Larry K. Lawson, age 61 of Moline , died Friday, May 4, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with military rites conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246.
Larry was born January 7, 1946 in Centerville, IA the son of Pete and Ruby (Cline) Besse. He married Patricia H. Leeney on January 27, 1967 in Rock Island.
Larry was employed as a fork lift operator at the Eagle Warehouse in Milan for 30 years retiring in 2003. He was an army veteran serving during the Vietnam era. Larry enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was an avid hunter . He also enjoyed family gatherings in the garage and was a great euchre player. Larry had a gift for being able to fix anything. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father and friend.
