L. C." Robbie" Robertson, 87, of Easton, PA, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday, October 31, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem, PA.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601
38 Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 246. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice Center, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA. If you wish to donate online the web site is www.sluhn.org click on the donate now button. L.C. "Robbie" was born on August 18, 1926, in Dulaney, KY, the son of James C. and Lutie V. (Wilson) Robertson. He married Rosemary Anderson, and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1974. He then married Shirley Wallarab, and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2011.
He was a WWII and Korean War Navy Veteran and worked as a salesman for Matthew's Office Supply. He enjoyed playing euchre with friends, golf, dancing, and bowling. Robbie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeye, and Chicago Bears fan. He was a devoted and wonderful husband and father, who was always there for his family. His sense of humor was second to none.
