Leah C. Fanth

Leah C. Fanth, 101, of Moline died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Memorials may be made in her honor to Edgewood Baptist Church.
The former Leah Hart was born January 18, 1906 in Rock Island to George and Elizabeth Reimers Hart. She married Harold I. Fanth June 18, 1942 in Rock Island. He died June 11, 1968.
She had the honor of being the oldest member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. She had attended this church for 98 years and had served as a Sunday school teacher. Oh, how she loved Jesus!
Leah and Harold owned the Hart Cab Co., Moline and Fanth's Resort, Remer, MN where she caught a 27 lb. "muskie."

Her Christian spirit, wonderful laugh and loving heart will be sadly missed. We rejoice that she lived her whole life for this moment in time!
