Lenora M. "Aunt Nonie" Haugland, age 86, of Rock Island, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Lenora was born January 17, 1926 in Grant, Iowa, the daughter of Wallace and Inez Peterson Congdon. She married Kenneth Haugland on October 26, 1947 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1997.
Lenora was employed as a beautician, last working in 1975. She was a member of Two Rivers United Methodist Church in Rock Island. Lenora was a former member of the Post Office Auxiliary, mall walkers, and was also a member of AARP. Together with her husband, they enjoyed traveling and visited 49 states. Lenora enjoyed social outings with friends, and the Casino.
