Leonard R. Dierolf

Leonard R. Dierolf , age 87, of Orion, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at First Lutheran Church, Sherrard. Visitation is from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Orion. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Sherrard Building Fund.
Leonard was born July 2, 1920 in Rock Island, the son of Louis and Eva (Luckenbiehl) Dierolf. He married Bette Stanton on September 12, 1941 in Stanton, MO. She preceded him in death on April 21, 1982.
Leonard farmed from 1938 until 2005. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Sherrard, Mercer Co. Farm Bureau; Midwest Quarter Horse Club; AQHA. Leonard was an avid bowler, and was a member of the original Orion Bowling League. He also bowled in Rock Island and Viola.
