LeRoy W. Chase, 73, of Moline, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. Visitation will be 5-7 Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to his family.
LeRoy was born July 1, 1937 in Washington, IL, the son of Hugh and Hazel (Moore) Chase. He married Kay F. Damm on July 3, 1959 in Moline.
LeRoy was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1956-1960. He was employed as a supply clerk at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1993 after 28 years. He was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he was a former council member and deacon and also a member of the Men's Group. He enjoyed participating in a bowling league for 33 years and he was also an assistant scout master with the Boy Scouts.
