LeRoy "Torch" Pearson, 89 of Moline died June 17, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at First Chrisitian Church, Moline. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Memorial Park, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Q.C. Christian School or First Christian Church, Moline where he was a member. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. is assisting the family.
LeRoy was born April 21, 1916 in Moline to Fred and Rachel (Peterson) Pearson. He married Theda T. Fuller on June 26, 1938 in Monmouth, IL. She preceded him in death on March 7, 1997.
LeRoy worked as a machinist for 39 years for John Deere Harvester, East Moline he retired in 1975.
LeRoy was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Moline Viking Thor Lodge #9 Independent Order of Vikings, Moline Eagles Aerie 1112, Moline American Legion Post #246 and UAW Local #865 East Moline. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR races.
