Linda M. Hayes

Linda M. Hayes, 73, of Moline, IL, died Monday, August 21, 2017, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, 4700 53rd Street, Moline, with a reception to follow.  Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, IA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with services.

Linda was born on March 2, 1944, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Rev. Bernard and Opal Sexton Reece.  She was a graduate of Creston High School in Creston, Iowa.  She earned her degree in nursing and worked for Keokuk Area Hospital for over 35 years.  Linda was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities and the Red Hat Society.  She was an organist for many years at Keokuk Assembly of God.  She was an avid Hawkeye fan.  Her family was the light of her life and she loved to spend time with them.  Linda loved Jesus with all of her heart.

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Bill) Engle, Moline, IL, Kelly (Tim) Bradley, LeClaire, IA, Kristopher “Kritter” (fiancé, Kristie Watson) Hayes, Keokuk, IA; grandchildren, Ben (Megan) Engle, Moline, IL, Brandon (Kristin) Engle, Aurora, IL, Brittany (Daniel) Witt, Moline, IL, Brook (Rusty) Boruff, Coal Valley, IL, Katelynn (Brunson) Behning, Davenport, IA, Kennedy (Mike) Gesell, LeClaire, IA; Konnor Bradley, LeClaire, IA, Kaden Bradley, LeClaire, IA, Chelsey Hayes, Cedar Rapids, IA, Carver Hayes, Keokuk, IA, Reece Hayes, Keokuk, IA, Kendall Watson, Keokuk, IA, and Kaylie Watson, Keokuk, IA; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Naomi (Don) Norton, Omaha, NE, and Irene (George) Cramer, Cedar Rapids, IA; brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Reece, Omaha, NE, and Dan (Debbie) Reece, Ft. Madison, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Shane.
