Linda Lee Johnson, age 62, of Coal Valley, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is at Coal Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to World Wide Work of Jehovah Witness.
Linda was born March 16, 1949 to William and Genevieve Cowdery Ditch of Silvis. She married Kent H. Johnson on April 21, 1989 in Bettendorf.
Linda attended Bowlesburg grade school and United Township High School. She was employed by Metro Travel as an agent and manager, and was also employed by Helzberg Diamonds as a sales rep. Linda was a Jehovah Witness committed to do the preaching work for Jehovah's service. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Linda dearly loved her daughter, grandchildren and humanity. Traveling was an adventure to her. She was a creative and colorful decorator.
