Linda K Johnson

Linda K. Johnson, 69, of Sherrard, IL, died Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Cable Community Church, 1498 303rd Street, Sherrard, IL.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion.  Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Cambridge, IL.  Memorials may be made to the Cable Community Church or to the Swedona Lutheran Church.

Linda was born on January 22, 1947, in Moline, the daughter of Robert F. and R. Phyllis Swanson Mears.  She married Rolland L. Johnson on April 28, 1968 at the Swedona Lutheran Church.

Linda worked in Labor and Delivery at the former St. Anthony’s Hospital and later in the E.R. at the former Franciscan Hospital.  Linda retired in 2012 as the Unit Secretary on the Rehab floor at Trinity Medical Center.  She was actively involved at the Cable Community Church where she helped with bible school.  Linda was a member of the Swedona Lutheran Church and the Orion American Legion Post 255 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Rolland L. Johnson; children, Rolland A.L. (Bonnie) Johnson and Julia A. (Allen) Seibert; grandchildren, Payton and William; sister, Mary Ellen (Roger) Carlson, Galesburg, IL; brother, James (Annette) Mears, Coal Valley, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
