Linda L. Race, 63, of Moline, died March3, 2009 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society (3727 Blackhawk Rd Suite 101 Rock Island, IL 61201).
Linda was born June 1, 1945 to Gilbert and Alice (Coussens) Nelson. She married Gerald Race on May 16, 1970 in East Moline.
Linda attended Faith Lutheran Church, Moline and was a member of the East End Club. She loved to play golf and spend time on the beach.
Linda was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
