Lloyd A. "Luz" Lundquist, 80, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd; 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Cremation Rites will follow the visitation. Graveside Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Anyone wishing to attend should be at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to the Moline American Legion Post #246.
Lloyd was born June 4, 1927 in Knox County, Illinois to Ralph and Ida Strandberg Lundquist. He was married to Dorothy J. Spengler, the mother of his children, from 1949 to 1968. She survives. He then married Dolores Remery in 1977. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2007.
Lloyd retired from the John Deere Headquarters after 33 years of service. Lloyd was a veteran of the Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post # 246. He liked to play pool and enjoyed bowling, golf, and fishing.
