Lois R. Edgar Bruce, 71, of Moline, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Illini in Silvis, IL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Lois was born March 3, 1937 in Rock Island to Robert and Helen (Pettersen) Edgar. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1955.
She will lovingly be remembered by her multitude of friends, including her bowling league, the River Valley girls, her Illini Hospital group, her friends and co-workers at Genesis Health Group and Genesis Psychology Associates, friends and co-workers at Dr. Pogue's office and the children of Riverdale Heights Elementary School where she was employed as a crossing guard through the Bettendorf Police Department. She loved everyone she came in contact with and had friends in all walks of life. Lois loved her brother, Norman, her dog, Hunter, and cats Suzie and Stormy. She loved life to the fullest. She will always be remembered for her bright smile, gentle kindness and natural friendliness. Rest in peace, dear Lois
