Lois Vizard

March 27, 1916 — June 21, 2010

Lois Vizard, 94, of Silvis formerly Moline passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010 at her residence.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at
1:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.
Lois Stevenson was born on March 27th, 1916 in Lost Nation, Iowa, and spent most of her
early years in Southeast Iowa in the communities of DeWitt, Welton and Lost Nation.
She graduated from DeWitt High School. She married Frank Vizard on May 16th, 1936 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 15th, 1988.
Lois was a long-time resident of Moline and was a member of Oakwood Country Club where she enjoyed two favorite activities - - golf and bridge.
Lois retired from Modern Woodman of America and worked with her
husband Frank at F.J. Vizard Real Estate & Appraisals in Moline.
Lois was active for many years in the Toastmistresses Club and won a
number of local and national speaking awards.
Surviving are her nephews, Ray (Kitty) Nolin of Steamboat Springs, Colorado,
John (Nancy) Harlow of Silvis, Illinois, and nieces Deanna (Bob) Smith of Rice Lake,
Wisconsin, Judy (Marvin) Hogren and Jackie (Tom) Peterson of Orion, Illinois.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ione Nolin and Vivian Payne
and her brother, James Stevenson.
