Loraine Cooke, age 85, of Silvis, formerly of Moline, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. Visitation is from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline.
Loraine was born November 11, 1925 in Moline, the daughter of Mauritz C. and Ruth Esther Anderson Palm. She married John W. Cooke on April 5, 1947 in Moline. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Loraine was employed as a security guard at East Moline Metal Products for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Moline. Loraine enjoyed camping, reading, crocheting, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her church friends.
