Lori Kaye Smith

Lori Kaye Smith, 68, of Milan, IL, passed away, July 29, 2024, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to QC Paws. 

Lori was born on January 29, 1956, in Moline, the daughter of Paul and Sibilla “Billie” (Gutridge) Johnson. She married Lee Smith on July 7, 1990, in Milan. Lori worked in the storeroom and various jobs for Mid-American for 35 years. She was a devout member of the IBEW Local 109. In her younger years, Lori loved coaching high school cheerleading and taught tumbling at her dance studio. She also had a love for horses, enjoyed swimming and tanning by the pool, and loved to care for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Lee; children Eric (Amy) Miller, Danielle (Jeremy) Brown, Daniel (Carrie) Smith; 7 grandchildren; father, Paul; siblings, Joni (Steve) Lange, Tammi (Joe) Wild; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sibilla “Billie”.
