Lou Ann Roach, 67, of Galesburg, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her home.
Inurnment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery on Monday, March 22, 2021. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, Monday morning at 10:15 a.m., for procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, Galesburg. In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.
Lou Ann was born on April 8, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Vivian (Seymore) Peasley. She married Daniel L. Roach on June 12, 1982 in Milan. Lou Ann previously worked for the QC Times and later in horticulture for Coal Valley Plants and Flowers. Her hobbies included gardening and landscaping. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, riding bicycles with her husband, and was a friend of Lois. Lou Ann was a scorekeeper for girls’ softball and enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids in any sport they were involved. She also loved spending time with her dogs, Jasper, Yoda, and Gizzy.
Survivors include her husband, children, Joetta (Mark) Smith, Mark Roach, Richard (Gerlie) Harkless, Tim Harkless; sisters, Jan (Rene) Savoie, Diane Paulsgrove; grandchildren, Cameron (Savanah) Smith, Carissa Smith, Timothy and Johnathan Harkless, Austin Roach, Kemberlie and Ariana Harkless.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Michael Peasley; granddaughter, McKenzie Harkless.
