Lowanda F. Rounds

Lowanda F. Rounds, 78, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Generations, Rock Island, surrounded by her family in Hospice.

A private graveside service and burial will take place at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to her family.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lowanda was born on July 5, 1939 in Gobler, MO, the daughter of Earl and Goldie Johnson WIlliams.  She married Albert F. Rounds; he preceded her in death on October 13, 2009.  Lowanda owned and operated her own candy store, “Olde Time Trading Post.”

Grandma would want to thank everybody for the many years of business.  Grandma’s two greatest joys were her family and her candy store.  She will be greatly missed by many that knew her as “Grandma.”

Survivors include her daughter, Deb (Ray) Garza, Moline; sister, Juanita Reinhart, Moline; grandchildren, Patty Garza, Moline, Russell (Danielle) Garza, Bettendorf, Kara (Marvin) Burash, Peoria, Angela Garza, Moline; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and a daughter.
