Lucille E. Marlier, age 81, of Moline, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 15th, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Visitation is from 2:00-5:00 on Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd,
6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in Lutheran Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to
her church, St. John's Lutheran in Rock Island.
Lucille was born February 11, 1929 in Osco, IL the daughter of Carl B. and Huldah Petersen Johnson. She married Donald L. Marlier on February 12, 1950 in Orion. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1995.
Lucille was employed as a secretary at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Island and later as a secretary for Intouch Adult Day Care. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed visiting with her camper and classmate friends, her card clubs, lunch groups and traveling. She and her husband were active in various camping clubs and she was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters Darlene L. Richard (Joe) of Sparta, WI and Denise B. Marlier (Eric Sproull) of Springtown, TX; granddaughters Jennifer Lager-Fitzpatrick (Allen Park) of Davenport and Melissa Boetger (Jim) of Walcott, IA; grandsons Joe Richard (Jennifer) of Tucson, AZ, Scott Richard of Kettering, OH; and Donald Sproull of Springtown, TX and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister Arlene Foss.
