Luella M. Elliott

Luella M. Elliott, age 86, of Rock Island, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
Luella was born December 10, 1920 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Esther (Fant) Samuelson. She married Frank Elliott on March 3, 1942 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1995.
Luella was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island; King's Daughters; and was past president of Longfellow PTA. She was an organist at St. James Lutheran Church, Bettendorf for 28 years; and organist at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. for 20 years. Luella previously was employed by the Telephone Company, Cook's Music Shop, and the Rock Island Park Board for whom she taught a preschool program. She also enjoyed crafts, china painting, ceramics, reading and knitting.
