Lynda Virginia Boyajian, 92, of Moline, formerly of Davenport, died November 26, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church, Moline or Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
The former Lynda Virginia Butt was born on August 28, 1917 in Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Samuel and Rhoda Butt. She married the Reverend George Boyajian on January 4, 1947 in New Britain, CT. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1979.
Lynda graduated from National Bible Institute in 1943. She served with her husband in churches in New York City, New Jersey and in Muscatine, IA. She had served for several years as an assistant librarian at the Davenport Public Library. She taught bible classes in Camanche, IA and Davenport for a number of years and in Rock Island, for awhile. She taught Sunday school and was active in volunteer work.
Survivors include Sisters Mildred Reader of Newfoundland, Canada, Ada Brown of Newfoundland, Canada and Bernice Bitters of Duxbury, MA;
several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
