Lynn M. Geerts

Lynn M. Geerts, 75, of East Moline, passed away on January 6, 2025, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Lynn was born on July 26, 1949, in Moline, the daughter of Jack and Rose Ann (Carlson) Dahlstrom. She married Richard Dhooge in 1968, in Rapids City. She later married Roger Geerts on September 8, 1990, in Moline. She had previously been employed at International Harvester in East Moline and later as a Rock Island County Community Service Representative. She was the owner and manager of rental properties in the Quad Cities. She did volunteer and advocacy work and also did customer services for Apac in Mt Joy. Lynn owned an antique and retail shop for 8 years. 

Survivors include her husband, Roger; siblings, Kim Dahlstrom (Debra Carter), Wilton, Iowa, Lori Dahlstrom, Moline, Brian Dahlstrom (Polly), Sherrard; brother-in-law, Tom Adams, Moline; several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Dhooge; parents; sister, Cindy Adams and brother, Craig Dahlstrom.
