M. Shirley Collin

Myrl Shirley Collin, age 86 formerly of East Moline died June 8, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd.,
6601- 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Myrl Shirley was born on November 18, 1917 in Orion, IL the daughter of George and Dorothy Raisbeck Greenwood. She married Harold S. Collin on October 4, 1969 in Moline. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1988.
Myrl Shirley began her career working for the U.S. Government at the Rock Island Arsenal. She later worked for Modern Woodman in Rock Island, last working in June of 1984. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline. She was an avid bowler and truly enjoyed her flower garden, animals, watching the birds, and reading. She loved time spent with her family.
Survivors include two step-sons; Dan and Jill Collin of Orion and Jerry and Jude Collin of Columbia, TN; one step-daughter Vicki and Francis Fisher of Lawton, OK; 3 granddaughters Andrea Burdett of Victoria, Montana and Heather and Brooke Collin of Orion; 4 great-grandchildren Justin, Cody, Leanna, and Jamie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, parents, George and Dorothy Greenwood and her sister Helen Greenwood.
