Marcella M. Jones, 97, of Moline, IL, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Greenview Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marcella was born on January 28, 1920, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Harry and Alice Kurtz Johnson. She married Ralph Jones in 1957 in Moline, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She worked in payroll for IH in East Moline, IL, for over 30 years.
Marcella was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Moline, where she was also a greeter. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved to play Bingo.
Survivors include her sister, Lois Wood, Moline, IL; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; twin sister, Marvel Mae Burton; sister, Marie Wildermuth; brothers, Keith and Harry Johnson.
