Margaret Catherine Dick, 96, of Muscatine, IA, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Muscatine Lutheran Living, Muscatine, IA.
A private family graveside service will be held and burial will be at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Margaret’s family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Lutheran Living, 2421 Lutheran Drive, Muscatine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Living, where she enjoyed her later years. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Margaret was born on December 4, 1920, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Samuel T. and Mary C. Delaney Easterly. She married Kenneth L. Dick on September 26, 1942, in Little Rock, AR, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1992.
Margaret was the owner and operator of the Modernistic Motel & Restaurant. She was also a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in East Moline, IL.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Rick) Smith, Muscatine, IA, and their two children, Shelley Smith, and Brandon (Katie) Smith; son, Paul (Debbie) Dick, Orion, and their children, Renè (Rob) Field, and Kimberly (Jameson) Shannon; grandson, A1stC Joshua Dick, PA; 4 great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Joel Dick; sister, Laura Anderson.
