Margaret A. Malme, 93, Rockford went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2004.
A private family graveside service will be Friday, January 30, 2004 at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, Rockford, IL. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. is assisting the family. Memorial services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, Rockford, IL.
Margaret was born August 26, 1910 in Moline to Nels and Ebba Westberg Anderson. She was married to Stanley Malme for 27 years. He predeceased her in Moline in 1962.
Margaret had a career as a bookkeeper for John Deere Spreader Works for 33 years. She retired to Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, Rockford where she resided for the past 20 years. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Rockford and Moline.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joanne (John) Pearson of CA; Gordon (Kathy) Anderson of CT; JoNancy (Jim) Warren of IL; Cynthia Frazier of FL and Peter (Melissa) Anderson of PA; 12 great nieces and nephews; 9 great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend Gordon Anderson and his wife Ethel Anderson.
