Margaret C. Zimmerman, age 82, of Colona, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at her daughter's home in Racine, WI.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Margaret was born June 26, 1930 in Moline, the daughter of Raymond and Signe (Larson) Peterson. She married James Zimmerman on October 23, 1948 in Freeport. He preceded her in death in November, 1987. Margaret was employed in production maintenance at Desaulners, and later for Group O, last working in 2000. She was a member of F.O.E. Ladies' Auxiliary in Carbon Cliff. Margaret enjoyed spending time gambling at the casinos and most of all she loved working.
