Margie Irene Mueller, 93, of Sherrard, IL, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, in Alabama.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2013, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Matherville, IL. A Rosary Service will be held at 2:45 p.m. with a visitation following from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church or to Hospice Family Care, 3304 Westmill Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805.
Margie was born on July 23, 1920, in Rural Township, IL, the daughter of John William and Violet (Bell) Fitzpatrick. She married Warren R. Mueller on September 15, 1945, in Baltimore, MD, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 1996.
Mrs. Mueller lived in Sherrard most of her married life and was currently living with her daughter and husband in Huntsville, AL. She worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for five years and was a retired clerk and substitute letter carrier from the Sherrard Post Office. She was a 4-H leader for 30 years and was active in the Sherrard Women's Club, Mercer County Farm Bureau, Reserve Officers' Auxiliary, and the Lion's Club. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Matherville.
