Maria de la Luz Villarreal

Maria de la Luz Villarreal, 103, of Rock Island, passed away December 30, 2024, at her home.

Luz was born on March 19, 1921, in Laredo, Texas. She married Eliberto Villarreal and he passed away in October of 1979.

Luz was a loving mother, wife, and devoted homemaker who was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and their children.

Survivors include her son, Jesus (Stella) Villarreal; many grandchildren (19), great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Eliberto, Jr., Rudolpho, Antonio, and Raul; grandson, Raul, Jr.; daughter, Maria Angelina; and daughters-in-law, Delores and Vangie; and her great grandchild, Marcos.
