Marian Irene Meier, age 87, of Moline, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Moline Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.
Marian was born March 27, 1923 in Moline, the daughter of Cyril and Katherine (Oliver) Dhaenens. She married Charles Ferdinand Meier on February 21, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1984.
Marian was employed as a clerk at JC Penney's, a secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal, and was co-owner of Stacey's Cleaners in Milan. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline.
