Marian Irene Olson, 84, of Moline, died January 24, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at First Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church.
Marian was born February 2, 1924 in Obrien County, IA to Charles and Mern S. (Potter) Vollink. She married Glenn O. Olson on October 25, 1946 at the United Methodist Church, Archer, IA. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1997.
Marian was a teacher for 25 years working in Cherokee County, IA, Calumet, IA and Moline School District #40. After retiring she volunteered in After School Programs and at Trinity Hospital. She was a member of First Covenant Church, Moline and also of the Covenant Women of the church. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma - Beta Epsilon Chapter, Blackhawk Unit I.R.T.A., and Kings Daughters - Margaret Bottome Circle.
