Marian Helen Ziegenbein, 91, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at the Lighthouse at Silvis, Silvis, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marian was born on February 11, 1925, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Victor and Ingrid Sorensen Haggh. She married Sherman Ziegenbein on January 21, 1946, in La Grange, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2015. She worked for the Hartford Insurance Company and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sons, Mark (Linda) Ziegenbein, Silvis, IL, and Richard (Sandy) Ziegenbein, Pahrump, NV; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Speir, Courtney Philbrook, Ryan (Monica) Ziegenbein, and Jason (Shelly) Romine; brother, Ronald V. (Katherine) Haggh, Darien, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sherman; daughter, Sharon Gammon; and brother, Robert Haggh.
