Marie M. Peterson, 87, of Moline, died October 21, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Moline. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
Marie was born November 17, 1919 in Aledo, IL. She received her elementary education in the Gilchrist grade schools and graduated from the Viola High School.
After graduation, she went to the Quad Cities and worked for Modern Woodmen. She later found secretarial employment at the Augustana Book Concern. Upon marrying, she became a homemaker.
On June 11, 1955, Marie married Carl L. Peterson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Moline, where she eventually became a member. Carl preceded her in death on October 10, 1989.
Marie was very proud of her granddaughters. She enjoyed making homemade casseroles and desserts for her family and the special get-togethers throughout the year, especially Christmas.
In her earlier years, she was very talented at sewing clothes for her daughters. Marie enjoyed watching the "Chicago Cubs".

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather.
