Marilyn L Dahl

Marilyn L. Dahl, 92, of Orion, passed away Sunday December 24, 2023, at Illini Restorative Care.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday December 30, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the church.  Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Orion.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Orion is assisting the family.

Marilyn was born on March 11, 1931, in Moline, the daughter of Carl and Helen (Wahlstrand) Abrahamson. She married C. Richard Dahl on October 1, 1954, in Orion at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2021. Marilyn worked as a homemaker, but also farmed with her husband. She belonged to the WELCA, Clover Circle, and enjoyed quilting with the Friendly Stitchers at church. Marilyn loved traveling, camping and their 60 plus years of Card Club.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey (Debbie) Dahl of Orion, and Jay (Donna) Dahl of Orion; grandchildren Andy (Jill) Dahl, Orion, Kayla (Bryce) Halferty, Orion, Morgan (Austin) Hutcherson, Matherville; great-grandchildren Bennett, Bryce & Brianna Dahl and Brysen & Braxley Halferty; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen; husband, Richard; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn Abrahamson.
