Marilyn K. Fenton, 72, of Colona, IL, died Monday, August 26, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, IA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Bethel Assembly of God, 3535 38th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God.
Marilyn was born on October 5, 1940, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Daniel B. and Ruby R. (Swenson) Cushman. She married Jerry Fenton on February 12, 1976, in Geneseo, IL.
Marilyn was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Rock Island. She knew no strangers and her whole life was about helping other people. Her faith in Christ was beyond measure. Marilyn never passed up a chance to share the word of God with anyone who would listen and her home was always open to anyone in need. Above all, Marilyn was a most wonderful, generous, and loving person. She was moved from what was good here on Earth to what is best in the Father's house.
