Marilyn Kupresin, 92, of Bettendorf formerly of Moline passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at UnityPoint Health Trinity Bettendorf.
Private family services will be held at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at the National Cemetery with her husband, Sam. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline.
Marilyn was born on September 12, 1929, at the Moline Public Hospital the daughter of Henry and Emily (Enders) Miller. She married Sam Kupresin on April 1, 1951, in East Moline; he preceded her in death on November 9, 2016, after 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Marilyn graduated from UTHS in 1947 and went on to work as a receptionist for Dr. Frey. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline. Marilyn enjoyed playing golf at Short Hills Country Club in East Moline, and at Imperial Golf Club in Naples, Florida and traveling with her family and friends. She enjoyed winters in Florida and loved sharing her life with others. She was a truly devoted wife and a wonderful mother to Sam and Patty, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Rear Admiral (retired) Sam H. (Patty) Kupresin; grandchildren, Sam P. (Nikki) Kupresin and Kara D. (Derek) Dlouhy; great grandchildren; Sam and Sloane Kupresin and Amelia and Mari Dlouhy; sisters-in-law, Rosemary, and Stella; brother-in-law, Ely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam and her parents, Henry and Emily Miller.
