Marilyn Marshall

Marilyn J. Marshall, 78, of Orion, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family.

Marilyn was born on February 26, 1944, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Roy and Hazel (Kling) Johnson. She previously worked as a bookkeeper for Augie and Earl Chevrolet Dealership in Orion, which later became Krieger Chevrolet. She was later employed in sales at Von Maur, retiring in 2008. She attended Orion United Methodist Church. Marilyn was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Illini. She was also an animal lover.

Survivors include her son, Bruce (Ronda) Marshall, Orion, daughter Renee Marshall (Patrick Wilborn), Ft. Walton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Sara Marshall, Nashville, Jason Marshall, Orion; and sister, Marlene Schwartz, Colona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wayne Johnson, and R. Dean Johnson.
