Marion Irene (Harker) Wymore

Marion Irene Wymore, 95, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate.  Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church.

Marion was born on January 24, 1921, in East Moline, IL, the daughter of John J. and Lena Hoerr Harker.  She married Burton E. Wymore on October 7, 1944, in Pensacola, FL.  He preceded her in death on January 2, 1986.  She worked as a bookkeeper on the Rock Island Arsenal and later for Montgomery Elevator.

Marion was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church where she was active with Sunday school and volunteered as the church librarian.  She was a member of OES 253.  She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.  She had a cabin in Danbury, Wisconsin where she enjoyed fishing and the lake with her coffee and friends.  More than anything she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Burton M.(Mary) Wymore, Moline, IL, and Mary (Allen) Blank, Crestview, FL; grandchildren, Paul M. (Ellie) Wymore, A.J. Wymore, and Zachary A. Wymore; great grandchildren, Haley & Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Burton E.; grandson, Michael J. Wymore; sisters, Lillian and Gladys; brothers, Ralph, Lester, Fred, Clifford, Herbert and Everett Harker.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Rosewood Care Center as well as Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
