Marjorie Nelson, 91, of Moline, IL, died Monday, December 05, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service Monday, December 12, 2016, at Elim Covenant Church, 5201 18th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Elim Covenant Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marjorie was born on June 13, 1925, in Moline, IL, the daughter of William and Mary Ann Nagel Enderton. She married Robert E. Nelson on August 8, 1947, at Elim Covenant in Moline, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2013.
Marjorie was a member of Elim Covenant Church.
Survivors include her children, Thomas C. (Darlene) Nelson, La Porte, IN, James R. Nelson, Moline, IL, Nancy L. Vigus, Concord, CA, Natalie J. (Mike) Hermann, Blue Grass, IA, and David C. (Christine) Nelson, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Matthew (Robin) Nelson, Mikey Nelson, Kari Nelson, Ryan (Allison) Vigus, Randy (Tana) Vigus, Rachel (L.J.) Cunningham, Adam Hermann, Leah Hermann; great grandchildren, Brody and Braelyn Nelson, Daniel Vigus, Caroline Vigus, and Riley Vigus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Daniel L. Vigus; siblings.
