Marjorie M. Vande Geest, age 79, of Moline slipped quickly into the arms of her Savoir, Monday evening April 25, 2005 at Trinity West Medical Center, Rock Island. Her death was unexpected but exactly how she prayed she would go.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2005 at First United Presbyterian Church 801-16th Street, Moline. Visitation is on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary,Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Piano Scholarship Fund through First United Presbyterian Church.
Marj was born November 9, 1925 in Carbon Cliff, the daughter of John and Jennie Dekker Haasakker. She married Ira Vande Geest on January 16, 1946 in Moline.
