Marjorie R Vatt

Marjorie R. Vatt, 98, of Moline, passed away, December 20, 2023, at Celebrate of Moline.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline, IL.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Private Family Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church or Western Illinois University Foundation. 

Marjorie was born on July 27, 1925, in Moline, the daughter of Alfred and Ruth (Cederlund) Ingwers. She married David E. Vatt on May 15, 1949, in Moline; David preceded her on January 20, 2013. Marjorie worked as a homemaker, prior to her marriage she worked for Minneapolis-Moline and JCPenney’s.

She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church and was part of their finance committee. She was also a member of the PTA. Marjorie enjoyed shopping, going to lunch, playing the Pit card game with the family, and watching her children and grandchildren at all their events.

Survivors include her daughter Kris (Jerry) Wainwright of Sherrard, son in law Rich Mindrup of East Moline, and grandchildren Kristi (Mindy Diaz) Mindrup of Rock Island and Kelly (Mike) Stenger of LeClaire.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Alfred, husband David, and daughter Debra Mindrup.
