Mark Robert Mendoza , beloved son of Jesse and Tilli Mendoza, 34 of Moline, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 in Davenport.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 - 5 p.m. at the funeral home. At 3:00 pm a Rosary will be performed by Sister Michelle of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to Robb's House in Rock Island or the Robert Young Mental Health Center, Riverside.
Mark was born April 6. 1969 in Moline, IL.
Mark attended Blackhawk College, Moline before attending the University of Illinois, Circle Campus, Chicago. He was employed as the restaurant manager at Five in Moline. He also worked in the hotel and food industry as a trainer for "Let Us Entertain You" in Chicago.
Mark loved tennis, baseball, walking, reading, music, movies, shopping and running, where he completed his first marathon, The Chicago Marathon, in 2003. He also participated in the Bix 7, three different times. He volunteered his time in many Chicago hospitals and the Aids Foundation.
Mark was known for his generosity, his abililty to listen to his friends and also as the social coordinator for his many friends.
