Mark R. Moore, 57, of Coal Valley, IL, died at home with his wife and kids by his side on Monday, August 25, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street, Moline, IL. A reception will immediately follow from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Radio WDLM.
Mark was born on January 20, 1957, in Denver, CO, the son of Jewel L. Mayfield-Moore. He married Cindy Huizenga on October 16, 1981, at Homewood Evangelical Free Church in Moline, IL. Mark's first job was as a paperboy for the Dispatch from the age of 12. He later worked for Pella Windows, Trevor True Value, Happy Jacks Waterbeds, Donnelly Directory, and Premiere Page. He worked as a general sales manager and most recently as a purchasing manager for Erie Foods International in Erie, IL. He was exceptionally passionate about his work and took great pride in supporting and providing for his family.
Mark was a member, elder, and very dedicated teacher at Faith Evangelical Free Church. More than anything, Mark loved spending time with his 5 grandkids and fishing - when he had the time.
