Marlin "Mike" Durham

Marlin "Mike" R. Durham, 79, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his home.
In accordance with his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens at a later date. A celebration of his life will be held at 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Moline Viking Club. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice, Moline Viking Club's Scholarship fund, or St. Jude. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mike was born on May 12, 1933, in Davenport, IA, the son of Russell and Ella Durham. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, IL, in 1985 as a Plant Engineer. After retirement he worked as a contract engineer for Tech Staff, Davenport, IA. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Mike was an avid golfer and bowler and excelled at both sports.
