Martha Jane Neill, age 79, of Moline, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
.A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at First United Presbyterian Church, 801-16th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church, Moline. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Jane was born July 15, 1929.in Little York, IL, the daughter of James B. and Neva (McIntire) Piper. She married Richard Neill on September 5, 1947 in Monmouth, IL.
Jane was employed as a secretary for the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, retiring in 1986. She attended Monmouth College. Jane was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Moline where she taught Sunday school for 37 years and also taught vacation bible school. She worked in the prison ministry where she was known as the "Cookie Lady".
